Ceva is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Director of Field Application Engineering to join our China Sales team.

 About the role: 

As part of Ceva’s sales team for China, you will be based in our Shanghai Office and will lead the China FAEs team with the responsibility for supporting customers and tracking customer information (project/technical). The ideal candidate will bring a high level of energy and enthusiasm, be goal-oriented and have a deep sense of people management and customer service.

This position will require close cooperation and interaction the China sales team as well as with Ceva’s global Business Units, R&D and corporate operations. You will drive, prioritize and optimize the China FAE team’s daily interactions with existing and potential customers to evangelize the technical value of Ceva’s products during pre-sales engagements and facilitate the customer’s integration and use of Ceva’s products post-sales. You will also personally lead the technical discussions with key customers’ top management and executives.

Responsibilities:

Enable, manage and adapt the China FAE team, in line with the market needs and Ceva’s strategic targets.

Report to China sales VP/GM, Assist the China Sales team in penetrating potential customers, and reaching the China sales target 

Help maximize business by having a holistic view on the customers’ applications and technical requirements, and identifying the right technologies/solutions to meet and exceed their expectations.

Team up with leading customers to drive joint innovation and joint product roadmap definition, and ensure Ceva’s competitiveness in the future

Align expectations and responsibilities towards the China FAE team with other stakeholders inside and outside Ceva

Foster continuous learning for the FAEs with the target to become trusted advisors to the customers 

Requirements

Beyond, you are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering (BS/MS EE) or a closely-related technical field.
  • At least 15-years professional experience in the semiconductor industry, in R&D and customer-facing technical roles, targeting the mobile terminal/ infrastructure, consumer IOT or automotive markets. 
  • 5-10 year track record of technical team management experience in leading chip, semiconductor IP, or semiconductor business of OEM company.
  • Good knowledge of, and prior-hands-on experience developing or using DSPs or AI/NPUs or wireless connectivity (e.g 5G, Bluetooth, WiFi, UWB) solutions and their related use-cases and applications. 
  • Experience as team leader, ability to identify, attract and motivate talents
  • Good resource and connection in semiconductor circle, Capability to identify early trends in the applications and competitive threats
  • Analytical skills for identification and assessment of unique value propositions / selling points / product competitiveness in order to prioritize Go-to-Market activities
  • Ability to drive alignment with key internal and external stakeholders and to manage multiple, multilevel interfaces
  • Strategic thinking, business sense, as well as good project management and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work across time zones (Europe). Available to travel frequently within the China to meet customers and internationally (e.g. Israel, France, USA) a few times per year.
